I really love how you manage to blend the goofy stuff with genuinely thought-provoking and clever worldbuilding.
I mean, a series about a blue hedgehog that can run really fast is inherently a pretty goofy concept but it's also a series in which one of the main character's backstories involves his best friend- a chronically ill 12 year old girl- being murdered during a military operation, so there's that.
