I always take too long to post. And sure enough, I start losing patrons . Which is justified, because I do keep people waiting too long! But it’s especially frustrating now since I’ve actually been working on a lot of different projects lately. Two new pages of illustrated horror poetry, one more big commission, a much smaller one, three personal pictures, Witch Warp, and trying one more time to write up my old Maniacal Laughter project. I’ve really been productive these past few weeks, but since I’m doing so many different things at the same time none of them are getting FINISHED, and my Patreon audience begins to starve for content!
I’m sorry. Really, I have so much that I want to show you. Though there’s also been a lot of family stuff on my shoulders, as many of you know, and money is really, REALLY tight right now, but that’s all the more reason why I NEED to show!
And yet while I work those bones in my hands begin to ache, and I start to feel my age. I’m only almost 43, but I can tell that all these years clutching pens and pencils while hunched over a desk have taken a toll. Oh, alas! That this golden genius should fall prey to entropy.
In any case, thanks so much for sticking it out through my seeming dry spells. The water’s not gone, it’s just running underground before exiting into the river. When the golden day comes when I finally begin Witch Warp , I think things will be different. Soon, I hope. If I don’t meet a gust of wind that blows me away into a cloud of ancient dust.
At least it’s Fall. I like Fall. Happy Autumn, everyone!
