I could have sworn I faved and commented on this before? Like I have seen this before but I guess I wasn't logged in or at home because I would have freaked out about this sooner.
First off let me just gush AMAZE. The perspective really lends to the atmosphere with Anju, her angst and the situation overbearing on Termina altogether. I really feel it by looking at Anju, from that almost below-perspective then seeing the big bastard moon behind her. Very effective. Not to mention that it looks like the moon is finally coming down, since there's debris in the air. Man remember the sad track that plays in the last 6 hours of the third day? Breaks my heart.
I love the whole AnjuxKafei sidequest. I mean, I love Majora's Mask period. It's my favourite game of all time, so much so that I'm even writing a fanfic about it, that includes an OC I made 10 years ago. This game inspired me 10 years ago, it inspires me now. It's a timeless installment to the series that I will forever be loyal to.
But the AnjuxKafei story is a heartbreaker. It's all about love, misunderstanding, heartache and how about that love triangle?? Interesting turn on things. But at the end of it all, they just prepare to die together as the moon falls and they want nothing more than to greet that moment together, them both being the entire world to each other.
Thanks for drawing this. Seeing it really put a highlight on my day.

Ah, thank you SO much for taking the time to leave me such a thoughtful comment! I really appreciate it! And thanks so much for the kind words! I'm so glad the tone resonated with you!
Anju/Kafei is a big part of why Majora's Mask is my all-time favorite game as well! Every single sidequest in that game was just the added layer of depth that sold the idea to me that these were not programmed NPCs but living, breathing people and creatures. Here's hoping for a 3DS remake this year at E3! hahaha
Thank you again for the love! Made my day! So I'm glad we could brighten each others' days! haha

Ah you're welcome, I'm glad I could brighten up your day.
Yeah, the Anju/Kafei quest is really something that I have to be mentally prepared for, otherwise it catches me off guard and I get super upset over it. I cried about that once! And you know which other time? When you help Pamela's father when he's a Gibdo shut in the closet. Then of course there's the dying sequences of Darmani and Mikau. I really do not have emotions of steel.
I would draw a million fanarts if it would get Majora's Mask noticed more. I'm desperate for a 3D version, like I can't even begin to stress how badly I need one hahaha. But it's kind of the underdog of the series, I feel.
Anyway, I just added you to my watch list - I can't believe that I hadn't done that before. I look forward to seeing more from you.

You're a doll! Consider the watch returned!
And believe me, I know EXACTLY how much you want the remake. LITERALLY every single Nintendo Direct, I wait for the news on the edge of my seat, ever since they started doing them, and am disappointed every single time. I'm hoping e3 is it this year! Only a few weeks to find out! I got so mad when they announced Wind Waker HD, like "WHO WAS ASKING FOR THIS?! NO ONE! There's an entire movement for a Majora's Mask remake!!" hahaha Ah well, I still bought it. haha
Anyway, thanks again! Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Awww, why thank you good sir! I appreciate that, I hope you find my future art worthwhile.
And oh god I know right? I'm always listening to the Nintendo Directs and reading too much into things HOPING that it means MM3D but it never is... Man the day Hyrule Warriors was announced... I'm sorry but that can just cease and desist for all I care. I was actually so disappointed, I was so heartbroken about this because firstly, I wanted my MM3D, and secondly, Zelda is not for crossovers and just no no no. I cannot tell you how sad I was, like I had red wine with my dinner that night and a few tears of disappointment were shed hahaha! xD
Well I'll tell you what, if and when I hear anything about MM3D you will be the first to know.
You're welcome for the watch, and thank you again for the watch in return. I really appreciate that, especially from an artist I look up to.

I'm sure you'll keep kickin booty!
And I honestly think we're gonna get MM3D. Just not sure when. Nintendo knows there's a huge demand for it. Hyrule Warriors is definitely a strange departure, but at least it's not taking up 1st party team development time. So it's just a fun extra, I guess! And yeah, I'll do the same if I hear anything about MM3D!
Thanks again for the kind words! <3

Haha thank you!
And you actually think we'll get it? I hope you're right, I really do! I've heard it would be difficult because of some issue with MM because it required an expansion pack to even run on the N64. But surely now we're passed that kind of problem? The 3DS is no weakling.
Nintendo Direct is next week, Tuesday. I'll be watching with bright eyes and spare pants on stand by.
And again, you're welcome. ^^ <3

No MM in today's direct. But E3 isn't over! They didn't include Mario Party 10 or Star Fox U in the direct either, and they were announced! PLEASE NINTENDO.

I was just about to write to you! I am very pleased with this ND but I was disappointed about MM3D not being announced. I really hope it happens.
You know what, I want to do a big goddarn art of MM, a big fanart and I want to show my support of MM3D SO much, even though I alone can't do anything, but I will add one to the MANY.
The new Zelda looks nice but I hope the story is a little better from the recent installments. I see they're giving Link long hair, that's cool. I hope he finds his green tunic as always.

Omigosh I love this.Β ;_;
Anju and Kafei make my heart bleed.Β I love that you've got her standing here, the friggin' moon is falling, the sky is this hellish red, people are gonna die.... and yet she still looks as if.... none of that matters.
Not right now and not to her.Β
I love their story.Β Thank you for this.Β

Ah, I'm so glad you connected with my illustration! Thanks so much for the kind words! Their story hit me hard too, always loved them. Majora's Mask had my favorite sidequests of all time, because the people felt like living breathing souls, and Anju/Kafei were a huge part of that. So again, thank you!

Oh my, this is awesome! I love that your lineart and coloring methods aren't overly complicated, but they're extremely effective in what you're portraying. Though the more I look at this art, the more the background reminds me of the twilight in Twilight Princess (: Wouldn't Majora's Mask in the Twilight world be crazy?!
Anyway, beautiful art here! Thanks so much for submitting it to KafeiAnjuFans !

Thank you for even more kind words, and for having me in the KafeiAnjuFans group! And I agree now that you mention it, definitely has a Twilight Realm feel! If only I substituted the debris for random floating squares...hahaha
