Description Third background and pose!

Wasn't supposed to color another, but I did wanna tone it so that the sliced through wall would read well. After toning it, I ended up slapping a gradient on a layer, set to color, and toned down the opacity. I liked the result! Peil's lunging at some poor average Stormtrooper. Sucks to be that trooper!

Wow. There's a lot of passion and emotion here, clearly defined by the poses and great color. The style, however, is what I like most about it. Star Wars has been done and done and done some more. Always welcome a change of style. This particular style reminds me of that in the original Clone Wars series, back when it was actually a cartoon.
I dig this one. A lot.

Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm of course heavily influenced by Genndy's Clone Wars series from the early 2000's. But I like to think I've taken my own direction from there!

You have, because your style looks better.

I didn't really like the way that some of the characters
looked in that series, and I still have a LOT of problems
with the new series, as well. All in all, you have strayed
from that style into one that betters that one and is
also all your own. It's clear in all of your SW related work.

Great Colors! One thing that bugs me but it's minor. His hair and saber should be breaking the border. I think it would give it a little more dynamic, but hell, what do I know?

Good Job.

Thanks Wes!

You think so? I feel like, since he's only coming through the hole he cut, he's further back than the stormtrooper, who's already breaking the border too.....but now that you mention it, it's buggin me too! LOL I'll have to experiment and see which works better...Thanks for the heads-up!

Thanks! The simple toning in grays in addition to the gradient really gave this a unique look. I may have to experiment with the technique for the future!

haha Dude, it was really easy! You just tone the whole thing in grays, and then slap a layer on top that's a saturated gradient. Just play with blend modes and opacities and you'll find something you like!
