Be gentle! I know it's not my usual style, but I've had the itch to try out some new things recently. A few months back, I took another online class with Schoolism, Intro to Digital Painting with Andrew Hou. This is my first attempt at a digital painting in YEARS, and I'm still learning! But I wanted to share it with you guys to show any aspiring artists that you should never be afraid to try new things with your art. As Jake the Dog once said "Sucking at something is the first step to being kinda good at something!"So, I decided to try out some stuff I've learned on Link here. Hope you guys dig! Can't say I'll be attempting digital painting often, but I would LOVE to get to a place where I could digitally paint some of my cartoony art on occasion!

I like it. Has, as someone put it, a wooden feel to it, which goes well with the wind waker style. I can seee the texture, Ooh!

This is great!! The colors look so fresh, I always find it hard to keep them from getting muddy when I digitally paint (or real-life paint to be honest). I like the hint of texture, keeps it from looking too slick.

Thanks, Melissa! I definitely struggle with the muddiness problem too, but I actually followed along on lesson 5 of those Digital Painting videos I gave you a while back! Found his method SUPER helpful. If you haven't checked those videos out yet, I highly recommend that lesson in particular, though they're all pretty awesome (though I'm sure you can skip lesson 1 haha). Thanks again!

although, now that I think of it, it would be awesome to see what you could do with Legend of Zelda using your regular style!

And a "standard style" Zelda piece is on the way in the future too.
