Betua of the Boii Clan

Born and raised in the Alpine Mountains, Betua, meaning ''birch tree'' grew up to be a backbone of the Celtic matriarchal society. Hardened by the harsh conditions of the Alps, she became a formidable fighter for the Boii, while at the same time growing her ambitions beyond the confines of her tribe. Not interested in marrying an aging chieftain, Betua, violently rebuked all her marriage proposals and moved south. Rumours of a new kingdom in the Italian penninsula, ripe for plunder, was spreading like wildfire among the Celts, and Betua would be the first to lay eyes upon it.
