Always good to see some of the old style tiled flames, especially when they are this good.
Nice industrial style as well.

Exellent work!
Tiles have definitely got more interesting with the addition of post transforms (I would guess those great triple-spheres are the same transform copied with slight variations in post-transform size/location?)
I look forward to seeing what geometric magic the "old school" can conjure up

Great tile. The pattern is just mesmerizing. There are lots of little contrasts going on that give the pattern a lot of great interest. The gradient choice is spot on; gives the overall piece a rich and dark ambiance. The piece is nicely composed as well. A very enduring image. Great job!

I'm using my laptop to render flames, it's way faster than my old desktopPC ...but I still prefer my good old E90f+
count me in ...

My laptop is a few years old. It's LCD screen looks washed out compared to CRTs and my new LCD. Nothing looks better than a new LCD though!
A 19" LCD has more viewable area than a 19" CRT too

ok... I suppose you have a 19'' LCD
I'm going to buy a new monitor: 21'' LCD widescreen - next week!
I'm just kidding ... you're right.

How did you guess?
Personally I wouldn't get a widescreen (if you really are thinking about it). It's got a lot of wasted space when surfing the net. Good for movies, bad for the net.

I don't know, for one sec I thought I was wrong... guess I'm lucky.
I never use full screen when I'm browsing the net. (1600x1200 allow me to see enough in just half of the screen) I guess (again...) widescreen should be useful for programming, more space for the "tool windows" .
maybe when I get back from my vacations on brazil () I'll buy one.

better contrast is a big thing. you can see the dark areas so much clearer.

That might be a wise thing to do considering what your hair looks like now
