Before even Doctor Who, Brits were travelling in time! H.G.Wells wrote of a man who built a time travelling device and went off to visit the year 850,000 AD. The world of the future had the Eloi, the peacefully child-like inhabitants of the surface, and the twisted, albino cannibles of the underworld, the Morlocks.It was one of my favorite books growing up. To the left beyond the oak tree is the sphinx with the Morlock door in it. To the right is the ancient museum where the traveller found all sorts of things of interest. Just right of the Machine is some of the Morlock ventalator shafts into the underworld.
Model is David3, Media is Poser 6. The background of the "time-theme park' I've had for five monthes.

Nice scene! I like the contrast between the dark greens and greys of the background with the brightly coloured lights round the time machine.

If you are a Doctor Who fan, it is mandatory reading! Before any fiction dealt with travel through time, The Time Machine was the very first.
