A lot of the detail is just implied through brush strokes of textured brushes, and then making selections/masks and enhancing it further.

Fantastic, I love the arc it makes coming out from the earth, the perspective could be exaggerated a bit more to emphasize even more the size of the beast. But I definitively love the look of it as it is.

Love the realism of this piece and how you were able to make the fire and stone contrast go really well together but I think what would make this even better is to add some ice or snow so that you have the opposites of fire and ice going together with the other elements of the earth and wind. Great job keep up the good work
