Well... Despite of all the bad shit that've had hit my fan lately, I guess that I anyway should give ye something to show my li'l relief of that Spring time have finally arrived...Now, Who does not love the Moomins, everybody? I still certainly do deeply. One of the best cartoon shows I've ever grew up with.
And why Snufkin being redrawn as a dragon you might ask? Well, I thought "why not?". I think he was being way too intelligent and wise for being human, don't you think? XP Was just my li'l idea back then...
And yes, Sniff looks way a lot different from the original show and books and art, but from info sources I found out he's partly a kangaroo-sort-of-creature, so I figured; Well, why not just draw him as a friggin' kangaroo then! Looks a li'l better to me.
Just to let ye know, this was one of the Photoshop projects that got terminated by my stupid previous lappy. I didn't really get so far, but I had plans to finish it just in time to welcome Spring, but then...
Ah well... Happy Spring, everyone.

I remembered reading a lot of this in my high school library over four years ago before art college. I got bored than I picked them up from their shelf and I'm still bored while reading them and I'm sure I have read all of their books on it LOL. To be honest, I kind of failed to understand why they're popular in other places.
That was long time ago, maybe I should able to understand it better since I'm much more older now and been in college now.

Sniff looks so warm and cuddly in this picture, I just wanna snuggle up to him and give him a big hug. He's my favorite. I think he looks kinda like a mix of a kangaroo, aardvark and a sea lion in the animated series.
One thing about Snufkin being a dragon: Now how is he gonna fit into his tent?

Hehe, well, since that's the basic shape I'm using on my dragons, I can see it's hard to define which is which. XD And oh yeah, hearts for me, *lols* if only, my friend, *sighes* if only...

love how you used these characters in a different way, it would make sense sniff to be part kangaroo, they definately are a bit scatterbrained just like him. snufkin looks so cool as a dragon!!!! in some books snufkin was some sort of animal as tove described his paws and such. well done!!!

Yeah, I didn't quite like him when I was young, so if he was done like this, fully a kangaroo, then I would kinda liked him more. Must've been to do with the voice in Swedish dub or somethin'.. XP

XD If he's some sort of animal, it's hard to say, 'cause he look so humanish, though I don't wanna doubt the author herself.. Hell humans are animals too though. XD
