Here is today's warm-up. One of my all time favorite made for TV characters. The design is so deceptively simple. Love it!Red X (c) DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation.

The only thing I don't get is why does he still sound a lot like Robin, at least in "Under the Red Hood" Dick and Jason were voiced by two different VAs. I mean I know Red X suit is Robin's but I figured why give him the same voice as before?

I think that's part of the mystery. They were always pretty good at leaving things very vague. My thought process is that the reason they left the voice the same was because they wanted to leave you thinking. Where that lead me is if he had the same voice as Robin, why couldn't he be one of the Robins? That may not make much sense but, that's how my mind processed it. Red X, to me is their representation of the Red Hood. I've heard some people say it's supposed to be Slade. Who knows? It's fun to think about it though!

I guess the suit is hi-tech enough and Slade (or Deathstroke, but I understand why they went with his first name) definitely has technical expertise. I just rewatched JL: Flashpoint Paradox and realized the timeline at the end was similar to but not the same as the one in the beginning, like in the comics I didn't even notice that they had their New 52 suits on. Did you hear that Marvel might not be ad SDCC? It's a bummer for people who look forward to it but now I figure it'd be a great opportunity for DC to help lay the foundation for their own expanded cinematic universe. I really do want to see how good Jared Let and Ben Affleck do and hope they get to duke it out in a standalone film, maybe introduce one of the Robins or even just Nightwing, because I think the reason Chris O'Donnel was chosen was because indoctrinating a minor into crime-fighting regardless of the situation, might be seen as child abuse/neglect/endangerment etc. I just hope BvS

Yeah the suit is pretty high tech. I personally don't believe it's Slade though.
I haven't read any of the new 52 stuff. I need to get on that. I'm actually really behind on comics. Haven't really read anything since the Civil War broke out.
Marvel has a lot on their plate at the moment. So it is understandable they may not be making an appearance.
I remain optimistic on Leto and Affleck's portrayals of these characters. Also Eisenberg was an off the wall choice IMO. I hope they do a good job.Β We won't bring up those godawful Batman movies from the 90's. They were just bad all around. They should've stopped after batman returns. If they let a movie likeΒ "Let me in". I don't see why they couldn't get away with having a child, or adolescent Robin in there. I think the world could handle it

Yes I am referring to that. When I heard they were bringing the show back I got so excited, and then quickly let down. I also hear they're going to do an episode featuring the Young Justice in the Go universe. Why must they crap on everything?
