It reminds me of the 1920's style hero's like the Rocketeer.
I am not sure I would immediately read Superman but once I saw the belt buckle it would click as a 1920 style Sup's

Thanks embie! I was going for a golden age look. One thing that always bothered me about the character was he never really had anything to protect his identity. Which is why I chose the helmet.
