Description
This experiment was to see if I could attach LAMH hair from a Genesis and GenesisΒ 2 male figure to a Genesis 3 male figure in DAZ Studio and Iray. I used the LAMH presets for"Ape World 2 - Orangutan HD" and "Darwin the Toon Chimp" applied to 'Humbug For Genesis 3 Male". No post workRelated content

Improvised Reindeer and Sleigh horn, but you have to turn off everything but the horn in the scene. A lot of trouble!Β

Man! I thought you were already doing that with hair on a regular basis. It looks natural. Regardless, it's always great to learn new tricks making new pics.

I wanted to try this, but couldn't figure out how to do it. So I started a thread at DAZ's forum. I used the method suggested there [ www.daz3d.com/forums/discussio⦠]. It also led me to think that I could combine two hair sets using the same method by just making the hair conforming figures. This opens up a lot of possibilities, though it's a pain to do

That's some cool info. I'm gonna have to read that one in detail. Thanks for the link.
If I had a nickle for everything I tried to do & failed or at least learned something for the next pic, I'd own every product at Daz3D. You take things to the next level, though. You inspire ideas that I would NEVER have thought up. I wanted that Squatch character, but never got him, yet. I never thought about using the hair on somebody or something else. Swapping Poser body parts? YES. Combining hair like you did here, who'da thunk it?
Pain or not, it always looks amazing & natural when you do things like this. You not only inspire artists, but content creators as well. GREAT job!

The cartoon version us so much better than a realistic version, I really didn't like the live action movie either

I'm terrible, I never watched the live action one. But I have the cartoon. (On VHS. Yes, I still have and use VCRs.)
