I like this one better, the distance is not great enough to justify such haze, part for artistic reasons.

Well, that's fine!

But thank you, for the effort of doing a re-render.Β

I don't know if it had anything to do with me but, I loved it!

And I prefer this version, if it's ok...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JoePingleton In reply to GhostRide-Media [2017-09-05 06:15:32 +0000 UTC]

That's the great thing about 3D with no post work, just change things and re-render.

I just feel the couple is no longer the focal point in this version. Β We spend all our time looking at the background action.

marhaus In reply to JoePingleton [2017-09-05 10:44:12 +0000 UTC]

Well, not entirely, because you use light very cleverly to focus on the female A little more light on her skin to make her stand out a bit and I think the problem would go away.

Although I don't entirely agree that looking at the background action is a bad thing either

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

GhostRide-Media In reply to JoePingleton [2017-09-05 06:24:17 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that is very true! I actually caught myself doing just that.Β

But hey, that isn't alway's a bad thing.

And it doesn't mean that the couple is kept unnoticed.Β

Ok, like this.

IF you ever printed this on a 20 x 35 feet canvas and hung it in your mansion, go with the less dof.

If you go with a 10 x 15 inch canvas, do the dof all day!

But that's just me.

DUDE! Your centaur pics are so awesome I had to make one of my own. It may be a bit before I post it, but this here pic (and the last one like it) inspired me to spend a lil bit of cash. I shouldn't have, but cheap at the moment is cheap.

Anyway, I like this version better. I like being able to see what's going on more clearly. Awesome pic, but a sad story. I feel bad for the centaurs & humans as well. Very nice poses, though. You did an all around GREAT job! Nice scenery as well.

JoePingleton In reply to 2dFoxy [2017-09-05 05:35:49 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, I couldn't resist the sale on "Centaur 7 Female Pro Bundle" either. Β I like the corrections I made in this version, but I still prefer the previous version. The original intention was to use the DOF to put the focus on the couple. Β I was hoping that it would show that their emotional pain overshadowed the physical violence behind them. Β I feel that in this version the eye is drawn too much to the action and the couple gets lost in all the chaos.

2dFoxy In reply to JoePingleton [2017-09-05 11:53:00 +0000 UTC]

Great minds think alike. LOL

Your idea on keeping the attention on the centered couple does get lost in this. My eye gets drawn to the blonde lady on the ground behind them. I can ignore everybody, but her. The shadow across her eyes by the centaur's hand is interesting to me. That's what stands out in this pic, to me anyway. I'm also drawn to wonder what's in that cave in the background as well. I just know somebody's hiding in there.

The next thing would be that guy on the centaurs back attacking. At 1st glance I thought he was another centaur, but nope, he's attacking. With the DOF, you kept the attention where you wanted it, but I do like seeing what's going on. My mind fills in gaps, but not as clearly as this version does. I appreciate you posting both.

Thank you, I was afraid it would be too much for my machine, but it rendered without any problems and fairly quickly. Β Of course I only rendered it at this small size

I had more problems with the latest cat picture than this one. The old LAMH and a 1,200,000 count hair object made my machine hate me.
