Thank you, When I tried adding the snow to the fur for some reason it made it look a lot more skinny and mangy. Not my original intent but I liked it

The snow is a geometry shell right? Maybe it automatically sets a collision. LAMH is temperamental enough- brave of you to try! :-p

I tried to add the snow texture to the wolf's body material. I should have made it more concentrated on specific areas (like the top of the body and head, feet, ect). Then LAMH Catalyzer uses that to color the fur. Its still way easier than trying it with the old LAMH

I really love how the frost has settled on her fur around her face and paws. This looks realistic enough to be a photograph!

That is a cool trick. Almost weighs down the fur, making it damp as it would real fur.

That's turned out really well Joe! Did you just let 'DA Let it Snow' do it's thing after you set up the scene?

Thank you, I was looking at AM's Bison model preset that had snowy fur and thought I would try to use the same technique on a wolf. It didn't turn out the way I intended. I wanted the snow to be more on top of the fur. Kind of like how "DA Let it Snow" looks on a regular figure. For some reason it just made it look a lot more skinny and mangy. I kind of liked the result so I figured I would try something different next time.

Could've been actually a bit more snow for my taste but then the poor mongrel already looks half starved so maybe better not.
Experiment a success I'd say. I get the urge to feed him immediately!

Thank you, When I tried adding the snow to the fur for some reason it made it look a lot more skinny and mangy. Not my original intent but I liked it. It really needs more snow on the top of the fur. Maybe I can take what I learned from this experiment and do better next time

Yes, it looks unhappy, but I guess it's exactly what it should look like when it's cold and most likely hungry.

That guy needs to be snuggled...... makes me feel cold and hungry just looking at him, of course but the totally focused look in his eye I think he has a meal in sight

oh, yeah, I can imagine what it did and why, snow is clumpy rather than it being coated on each hair. I'd have said the wolf had just shook it off. It works fine though.
