This is very striking and bit unexpected.  You take in the whole scene and then it hits you that oh, that's not a person.  Very well done!

Thank you,
I tried a regular figure but it just looked like a big dark spot on the horse, so I went with a skeleton so some of the light shined through it

Thank you,
I tried different animals then settled on the horse silhouette.  Then I tried a regular figure on the horse and didn't like the results. I thought a skeleton might be a more interesting silhouette

So far... what is your thoughts on this product. You know how 3Delight Volumetric was amazing then... is this a plus too? It has been really difficult to get a good Atmocam for Iray.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoePingleton In reply to AOGRAI [2017-03-04 05:31:19 +0000 UTC]

I've had "AtmoCam for Iray" for a long time.  It's always produced good results, but I could never get the rays I wanted.  So I decided to give it another try.

It seems that it depends on what you shine the light thru and that you use "scene only". The thing to keep in mind is that you can't see the "MAR Atmo Volume" unless you use the wireframe display in the viewer. This alows you to adjust it's position. The "MAR Atmo Volume" is the key to everything, adjust the density until you get something you like. The other trick is to use the "scene only" environment mode.  I find one spot light works best.
