Thanks,
I couldn't resist it on sale and spent way to much on content lately.
This one seems like it will pay for itself in the long run. Rather than buying a bunch of Jungle scenes, you can mix and match the parts. Β This scene is most of the parts just stacked to cover the frame.

JoePingleton In reply to kittenwylde [2016-10-03 00:17:32 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, the water is the a custom Iray material made by trial and error. Β I couldn't figure out how to make the waves around the rocks so that is smoke applied on top in Photoshop

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kittenwylde In reply to JoePingleton [2016-10-03 02:49:04 +0000 UTC]

Well, it's absolutely gorgeous. I'll have to start experimenting, see if I can make something similarly cool. I wonder if there'll ever be a way to get waves around rocks? It's a hidden feature in Bryce, but is somewhat unreliable and can crash the program. So it's possible. Maybe.

JoePingleton In reply to kittenwylde [2016-10-03 02:59:36 +0000 UTC]

Thanks,
That was a cool feature in bryce (another program that needs an update) Β the water is based off the Iray diamond material with a texture map I got from Stonemason's "Streets of Asia". Β With a little emitter color to give it some shine

Diamond! Thanks for the hint, I never would have thought of that in a million years.

JoePingleton In reply to kittenwylde [2016-10-04 01:32:23 +0000 UTC]

I went with diamond because I was looking for a glass like material, but all the regular glass shaders were too subtleΒ
