Description Another experiment with Wheel of Time fan art in DAZ Studio and Iray. This time playing around with Moiraine Damodred. Just a little post work to get rid of some of the poke thru.

Ah, Moiraine - I've come to imagine her as sort of Victoria 5 height.

I kind of imagine her with a slight harried but determined expression, she has afterall searched for the Dragon for several decades then has to babysit a bunch of unruly farmhands that are barely out of childhood.

She should be shorter, I will remember not to make that mistake next time

I've been sort of tempted to illustrate the more private moments in the story - like the ladies streaking down the mountain on their way down to Rhuidean...

Or the corporal punishment at the tower   (cause I doubt that'll glossed over in any TV version) or merely the blacksmiths apprentice walking in on Moiraine brushing her hair

but I really suck at characterisation and character creation.

I'll keep on breathing, after all there's no tomorrow!
Wheel of time, save my soul, find a way! And if I fail, will it all be over? Oh wheel of time!”

They have to use this music in the TV show they are doing at Amazon.  Thanks for turning me on to it

That would be awesome if they used it, couldn’t agree more! No problem, this band has turned me on to a few different fantasy series and novels. Glad you like it!

All these WoT scenes are wonderful. Moiraine and Lan are probably my favorite characters. I really like what you've done with the colors in all of them, too, incl. the blue here and the green in the Loial portrait.

Thank you, It's been a fun learning experience with this series of images.  The story has so many great characters and they all have fabulous outfits and colors to play with.  they have taught me a lot about how to modify textures and colors of all the outfits in my library

Thank you, Lot's of practice to work around the limitations. I tried the timeline method on this one so that the dress slid across the ground instead of just bunching up around her feet

    kittenwylde [2018-11-19 03:31:56 +0000 UTC]

Man, the draping on that dress is gorgeous! My currently running dForce experiment just shrieked and stuck its head in the ground out of sheer embarrassment. (Translation: it looks like crap, and the hair fell through the model's head. Again. I'm envious, and can't wait for some free time.)

Thank you for all your kindness and encouragement,

PsiDeschain  pointed me to a great dForce thread here . It's not specific to clothes, but a lot of the principles can be applied broadly.  I played with  "freeze simulation" feature for layering the cloak and dress in this experiment. Plus I rendered a version with just the cloak so I could use it to fix andy poke through

Me and dForce are going to go a few rounds come January. I'll finally have enough time to make it behave, and I am absolutely determined to make hair stay on top of the head, where it belongs.

Oh thanks I did find that tutorial a while back, it helped me get started. I haven't played with dforce since, I was going to wait until I got my new computer as the old one was being so slow. I get so many ideas and I get board quickly, so I have to force myself to finish things.
