At that point in her self pity party, her only companion aboard the ship strolled by and meowed as if to remind her, she had a job to do while there, and that was to feed him. You might be wondering at this point, what the hell a cat is doing on a spaceship years from home, well you can keep wondering.

I know, I've been writing this novel since March of 2017 and I was trying to think of all the sci-fi novels I've read and I couldn't think of any where they'd actually incorporated a pet into it. Yet, its the most human thing a person could do.

Out of curiosity could you make the cat cyborg? I have no idea of the limitations or the work that might be involved in attempting that but wouldn't it be a cool idea that if mankind upgrades to a cyborg body we would do the same with our pets as well?

That was kind of my thought, we bring our pets everywhere. You hardly ever see pets in sci-fi, but they have to be there with us. I also liked the idea of all this cold technology juxtaposed with something natural.
I wish I could make a cyborg cat, but that's beyond my skill set.
