The interesting thing here is that The Wheel of Time was one of my dad's favorite book series, though I've never gotten then chance to read them myself (It's a long haul though).Β I love the flames on the sword and the dragon souls forming from the effects.Β Looks epic!

Dumai's Wells was a mjor turning point for me in the books.Β I was starting to loose interest in them until then and after that part I had to read the next book.
I really hope they don't mess it up on TV. If they have a decent budget and like GOT it might work.

It was a pretty intense scene. I got frustrated in the fourth book when I started noticing writer tricks designed to pad the word count and stretch out the series, but the good stuff sprinkled in amidst all the padding kept me reading. Love the series, though.

I agree with you about stretching the series. I was going to stop at the fifth book, until it ended with this battle.Β Then a few books later I gave up again.Β It wasn't until a few years after the final books where published that I went back and just read them for closure.Β I liked them enough that I went back and listened to the whole series again on audio books online from my local library.Β It was much better that way
