Since they are holding back the ability or normal users to create dForce Strand Based Hair in DAZ Studio I am thinking of stopping using it. I was going to go to Blender and try to learn their hair system since it has all the features I wanted from DAZ Studio.

Actually, I use Poser and Vue. The Unseelie Queen was made in both as was The Eastern Watch. My comp power is limited at the moment, so I often make the background in Vue and then create the foreground in Poser. I also make an HDRI light setup for the image in Vue. The Gathering however was entirely made in Vue. The image I'm working on this week is being rendered in Vue in sections. The noble woman in it was setup in Poser, but she will also be rendered in Vue with that little section she is standing on. It's a process but it's how I work around not having as much computer power as I used to. Hopefully, my web client will soon be happy with their revised logo and we can get the redesign for the site done. Then I can get another work horse, lol!
However, I'm a little confused by your last statement. So youre saying that the folks who are just users do not have the dForce Strand based Hair in DS? Why? Is it possible they are planning to start charging for DS again? Could that be the thing? Certain built ins will be an optional purchase?

very cool, thanks for sharing your process. Users will be able to use dForce SBH products but will not be able to create dForce SBH themselves. They have told me explicitly they are not planning on making this a paid feature, it is free if you are a DAZ PA. It seems that they just want to keep control of who creates dForce SBH.
