Description Another quick experiment with dForce and Daz Studio 4.10 and Iray.Β  This time I tried to use dForce on a non-dForce layered dress "Princess Asia" build for Genesis figures.Β  I had to do some clean up of the poke thru in Photoshop.

Thank you, It was one of the few old outfits I tried that gave usable results

Beautiful Colors in this and WOW Awesome reflections also great use of dFOrce!! Which makes me wonder if Poser dynamics will work in Daz now.Β  Question on 4.10 I just upgraded and I think I need to tweak my Iray settings as my renders are coming out a little grainy. Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you, I always loved this outfit but it never worked right in anything other than simple poses.Β  dForce kind of worked with it but required a lot of clean up.Β  I added the reflection just to give the scene some interest, but it also meant that I had to clean up the reflection.

For the last week I have been trying something different with mu DAZ Studio renders.Β  I have been rendering them with "render quality enabled" turned off and at double the final image size.Β  I also gave been onlu rendering them with about 100 iterations,Β  That seems to minimize the noise.Β  Although in this image it made everything a little "muddy", but that may just be the light and DOF.

Β I've been there! I have to do that sometimes on the Kali outfit! Love the outfit, but extreme poses really give it fits.Β

I will give that a try and see what I get. I usually render around 2500 x 2500 but have been getting some grainy renders.Β

Thank you, I love this outfit but I could never get it to work in a figure laying down.Β  I thought I would try it with the new dynamic cloth option in DAZ Studio.Β  It took a lot of clean up on and the reflection and the clothing

Thank you, This was the outfit I have wanted dynamic cloth on since I got it. It worked OK, but required a lot of touch up

I can't seem to make gForce work for me. The meshes look really bad and tend to explode. I am working with my own stuff as I want to do saleable clothing, but so far... gForce evades me. Any tips?

Unfortunately I have no experience of creating custom clothing.Β  I get a lot of exploding on most of the old clothing I try dForce on.Β  In this experiment I played with the dForce surfaces to try to minimize the problems, but I still had to do a lot of fixing in Photoshop

I've been trying to do custom clothes for gForce and it looks as if only things that have been done entirely in MD from Cloth have a chance to work. I tried to add Buttons in C4D and the exploded all over the place. Looks like gForce is very intolerant towards intersecting faces. I also found that it doesn't like to have values set to 0 or 1. Which is a problem if you have buttons that should at least stay somewhat in shape. Also noticed that morphing figures requires undistorted meshes or gForce keeps the distortion while relaxing the mesh. Lots of things to learn yet...

Thank you, I thought this would be a good test of dForce.Β  It required a lot of patience, tweaking of the surface settings and a lot of touch up

Thank you, The sleeves were the inspiration for this experiment, they never looked right without some sort of dynamics. They were also the hardest part to work with.Β

Thank you, It was a lot of work for not too good of a result.Β  I always get suckered into thinking the next dynamic clothing product will provide the realism of the movies.Β  I bet dForce works much better on clothing that is specifically designed for it. ;

Nice experiement!, I'll have to get into the swing as well. I'm surpirsed the princess dress worked out so well, with all the differetn layers I was expecting some heavy explosions from what I sa on the daz Forums

JoePingleton In reply to Linwelly [2017-10-29 21:17:45 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, I thought dForce would hate this outfit because of all the layering, but it liked it more than some simpler outfits. I did a lot of clean up to fix most the problems that popped up with this outfit.

It interesting that some simple outfits "explode" right away and some do it later in simulations.Β  This outfit exploded when I tried it on a simple walk animation, but didn't on a static pose.Β  Lot's more experimentation is needed.

seems it happens to all of us, I hear about a lot of explosions so far But I got soem things worked out by now, so I guess it will come to ends

So you used Dforce on an item not designed specifically for it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JoePingleton In reply to devduck01 [2017-10-29 21:13:49 +0000 UTC]

I don't own any dForce outfits, so I wanted to see how it worked on what I had in my library.Β  You can apply a dForce modifier to anything. The results are just not as good and easy to work with as using them on things designed for it
