An owlbear appeared!Β Β They're so much more deadly than they look. I've had a few poor PCs who needed to be raised from the dead after being rended by an owlbear.
This is such a great classic adventure scene, Joe. It's very exciting to look at!

Thank you, I picked this up on sale and had to use it in a classic adventure scene.Β I still can't decide who was the "uninvited guest", but am leaning towards the adventurers because the baby Owlbear looked so cute

Nice poses, Joe. Now, what kind of creature is that? I assume the humans are the unwanted intruders?

I love the combination of a classic D&D monster like owlbear and the Wise Wizard, which just SCREAMS 1e to me.

Thank you, I do too. It started out as the owlbear being the standard D&D enemy monster, but once I added the little owlbear now the adventurers have to loseΒ

I feel the same way when I see bears, they look cute but if I ran into one in the wild it would be very scaryΒ Β

LOL Love the scene you described. I can picture them hooting and falling from trees all night and keeping the adventurer's up all night/Β I still want to try adding some wings to them. maybe that will keep them from constantly falling out of trees
