Thank you, It really does look like a game engine's real-time rendering is so much better than having to wait for things to render in DAZ

There are a bunch of advantages. Like you can export images at higher resolution than your monitor size, export a 360 image, HDRI, etc.  For example, I exported this image at the next zie up at 3840 X 2160

Thank you, I have been watching gmlabartandsounds  having fun with FlowScape and couldn't resist playing with it. It's technically just a small game so you can't export the environments as anything other than an image.  But it oddly soothing to play and so easy to create cool looking landscape images quickly

Nice! I can't believe how many cool features they added, and although I noticed it takes a little longer to start up, it renders instantly. Can't wait to play with the place-able lights that they added too.

Thank you, I am so happy to see that they added so many cool things and they appear to have big plans for the future.  I am also really impressed with the Ansel support now we can output large images.

Have you had any luck with saving these as HDR with Ansel? The saved .EXR file is completely black in DS and Photoshop. Tried changing the exposure value in PS, converting to 8-bit, still just a black image. This was brought up in Daz forum www.daz3d.com/forums/discussio…

JoePingleton In reply to ShieldBucklerStudios [2019-04-06 20:25:12 +0000 UTC]

I just tried an HDR from Ansel and got the same results as you did. It appears that it is a problem with Ansel and Flowscape because I got HDR image when I tried it in Star Wars Battlefront 2.  More experiments are necessary

JoePingleton In reply to ShieldBucklerStudios [2019-04-05 19:28:38 +0000 UTC]

I haven't tried saving these as HDR with Ansel.  I only tried exporting it at a higher resolution with this experiment.  Unfortunately, I made the mistake of updating my "GeForce Experience" and now it doesn't recognize Flowscape as a supported program. I hope there is a fix for this soon.

Wendy_Carrara found this on an Unreal forum to enable it again. Run from cmd prompt: "C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Ansel\Tools\nvCameraEnable.exe" whitelisting-everything
Hope it helps!

JoePingleton In reply to ShieldBucklerStudios [2019-04-06 19:33:01 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the suggestion, I couldn't get C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Ansel\Tools\nvCameraEnable.exe whitelisting-everything to fix the problem.

It appears to be a problem with GeForce Experience 3.18 , since when I revert back to GeForce Experience 3.17  I can use Ansel in Flowscape again.  It looks like in GeForce Experience 3.18  one of the updates is that Ansel RTX comes out of beta and that may be causing the problem.

ShieldBucklerStudios In reply to JoePingleton [2019-04-08 01:00:27 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. Just read the release notes and I see what you are saying. I have the latest GeForce Experience 3.18.0.94 and it is now acting wonky in FS. I don't even remember updating it recently!

Alt+F2 within Flowscape now hides Flowscape and brings up the Ansel sidebar, but I can't switch back to FS or any window. I have to press Done to get rid of it completely.

I can still do screenshots or video with Ansel in FS by using Alt+F1 to save a screenshot (stores it in Videos\Desktop) and Alt+F9 to start video and Alt+F9 to stop (also stores it in Videos\Desktop), but can't change their filters in Ansel. Will probably roll back as you did, but not seeing previous GeForce Experience versions.
