Oh, very nicely done. I like the color balance and composition. All the lines flow nicely.
Not sure if you want critique comments, but here goes. Three things caught my eye.
One is that she seems to be clipping into the saddle a bit. Moving her up would probably screw up the other aspects of the pose...Β Maybe place a sword / scabbard right there? To block or obscure the view?
Two and three are related to the water, and bothΒ always bugs me in my own renders. If I could find a way to fix them,Β I would be a happy camper.
The shoreline edge always looks so artificial the way it hugs the land. The sharp edges and such. I have tried to fix these but placing rocks, but that's a pretty time consuming (and not always rewarding) effort.
The same thing with the cat's paws. They clip through the water, but then the water seems too still.
I have taken to hiding these issues by tone mapping the images and adding post processing (mist, splashes, etc) to obscure the edges.

Thank you,
There are a lot of things that need to be fixed in this image. Β It was just a spur of the moment image based on converting some of the Genesis 2 poses I missed in my first batch of conversions. Β I think if I moved her up and repositioned her leg, she wouldn't clip into the saddle. Β Also adjusting the tigers feet to match the terrain would fix the clipping. Some post work on ripples in the water where things intersect it would also be helpful. Β Some post work and careful posing would have fixed many of these issues, but I was lazy

JasonGalterio In reply to JoePingleton [2017-03-13 18:27:21 +0000 UTC]
Understood, I've been there myself. The image does have a real Masters of the Universe sort of vibe, only reinforced by the presence of the cat and saddle.
Personally,Β I wouldn't mess with her pose, since the rest of it is already working. I would just find something to place right in front of her leg to hide the clipping.
You start messing with her pose and you begin a domino's effect of work. Reposition the other arm, angle the body, re-reposition the arm...Β It just creates a ripple effect (no pun intended!).
Or you can consider it done and move on. These were just minor things that caught my eye because its the same things that always bug me after the fact in my own images. I can't count the number of times I have spent hours rendering, then more hours post processing, then nothing that someone's hand or foot is clipping through something.
Many obscenities usually then follow.

AWESOME pic. I think it's one of your best ones yet. Great job all the way around!!!
I appreciate the links as well. I just re-downloaded DazStudio again to play with since they're having the March Madness sale again. I snagged some pretty great products & have started trying to sort out how to do pics with it again. LOL

No prob on the kind words. They are much deserved.
I used to try to give credit, but I started forgetting where I got products. There are soo many freebies, then 5-6 different websites. I honestly forget where I got stuff. I have like 30-40 disks full of stuff from the last 10+ years. I've been here since Poser 2. LOL I tried getting into DazStudio, but it's so very different to what I'm accustomed to. Got some good stuff from their sale & seeing your work motivates me to learn the program though.

I had been using poser since version 1 and had lots of content from those years, when I switched to DAZ studio it all worked (maybe that's why I love Carrara too). Β I just started giving credit since I can track the resent content Β
