The Kates tail codes arn't right, the prefix is suposed to be "AII", "AI" is the Akagi's tail code prefix.

The Zeros are from the Akagi, The Vals are from the Shokaku, and the Kates are from the Kaga.

Very much Japan's time, and a painful one for us.

what if the U.S. actually took the intercepted message from the Japanese fleet seriously?

experts say it would have turned out worse for the US as their battleships would be sunk in deep water and thus unsalvageable and they would take a good potiion of their crews to the bottom with them. Japan though would probaply have suffered heavy air crew casualties and lost alot of planes.

December 7th, 1941. The date which will live in infamy. The worst attack of US soil, in my opinion. I went to Pearl Harbor during the summer.

Cool. It's got the A6M2 Zero's, D3A1 Val's, and B5N Kate (torpedo bomber) in there all nicely. By the red and white bands on the fuselauge, this group is from the Akagi attack group.

Love this picture. Looks like you've got some of the Kates carrying torpedos, and some carrying bombs for high-altitude bombing. Neat. What's the chronology for this series, if I want to read it from b beginning to end?

The was an old computer game, "Aces of the Pacific" I think... Made me think of that. Whenever I played on the Japanese side, the Val was my baby. When I could use it, that was...
Then there was something, I don't remember much, but I think it was called the "Toryu" twin-engine, fun to fly, good armaments.
I love your artwork!

Actually, I drew six different planes (3 Zeros, 2 Vals, 1 Kate) and then copied/pasted.
