Description
The Lin Kuei Grand Master, Sub-Zero, was making preparations to join up with his allies in Outworld to Raid the Temple of Shang T'sung. He had selected his Pupil, Frost to join for the Raid, and as they entered Outworld, Frost turned on her Master.

Sub-Zero proved to be the better combatant, and subdued Frost, however, she was unwilling to accept defeat and found Sub-Zero's show of Mercy on her life to be his weakness and as she attacked him again, she grasped for his Grandmaster Medallion, but was over come by her own Freezing ability and became encased in Ice.

The Grandmaster was unable to leave his pupils remains here, so he searched for a proper place for burial. Sub-Zero discovered ancient Ruins that contained carvings depicting a people with the power over Ice. Believing himself to be decendants of this mysterious race, he wears their Armor into Battle.
