Description
I wanted to go a little more exaggerated and cartoonish, and mess with his hair a little more (even though it will be tucked under the hoodie most of the time). I think if I ever get a story going that I'm happy with, and start laying down some panels and shit like that, this style would be pretty cool, because I'm really comfortable with it, and I think given the amount of gore I'd like to rock out to, it will be a little twisted and ironic if it was more like this.Related content

Yeah, I usually use photoshop when I color my characters. It's just easier to add the textures and everything.

I think this style rocks, but I think I liked it even more in 'Urban Deity'. You should definitly go further with this if you have the time, it would be the coolest comic ever... if you can whip up a good storyline that is
Any ideas on what the thstl should do in the story? Underground crime fighter... gangster... family guy?

He's a delusional psychopath who believes he is the deity that represents working class people, and he kills to combat gentrification of his city... Well, that's what I came up with so far. That could change.

Well it sounds like a good start. Is there a lot of gentrification in Boston?

Yep... Especially where I live, Somerville, and in Cambridge, which both border Boston. I mean I understand that people gotta move here to work, and capitalism and all that garbage, but it's really getting out of control in terms of cost of living and franchise services popping up everywhere. Like a Subway just opened down the street from me, where there were all small shops and restaurants. It's the first major chain restaurant down there. I mean sure that will bring in revenue, but you know all those other pizza and sub shops that have been there for years are going to suffer. But I have to blame all the land owners who are buying into this shit as well. My aunt turned and sold my Grandfather's house without talking to the rest of the family after he died. Now it's two condo-units. He spent over 25 years working and paying for that house.
I just think this character might be a good outlet for my anger toward this and other stuff, you know? That way I don't get arrested for beating up yuppies and stuff like that!

Thanks man... That looks like an interesting watch.
My sig. is referring to the more literal sense... Like you know when you're in a movie theater, and it gets real quiet and all you can hear is people opening candy, moving the ice around in their drinks, chomping on popcorn, etc.? I friggin' hate that!!!

Yeah, I can understand what you mean, I guess that it is common phenomenon in larger cities in many countrys. We got the same shit here too. I think that you totally should use the thistl as a outlet. I read in your blog that you maybe wanted some help with ideas? Let me know, and I'll try to think some stuff up, lol.
I have myself thought about doing social comments through street art like banksy . You know making layouts for stencils in Illustrator and so on. The only problem if is I would get busted, 'cause they recently raised the sentence from 6 months to 12 months. Cmon, 1 whole year for paint on the wall? sick fuckers.

Yeah if you come up with anything interesting, let me know!
Banksy's the shit. I love his stuff. And yeah, they hate on street art severely... That's a ridiculous sentence.

My sentiments exactly. I know I'd sweat a cartoon featuring some fucked up dude touching up the shirt tales, rainbow brite or some shit like that.
