Description I guess you could call this a sort of editorial piece. I found the reference for this while looking up images of Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East. As we all know, many things have happened in that area that have re-defined these times. Be it natural, or man-imposed. Tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes; takeovers, wars, poverty. And with all that, there's still shreds of hope and purity scattered about. When I saw this image, I just felt that she was a perfect embodiment of it. She doesn't appear to be overly joyful, but she just has this hopeful look about her.

Anyway, on to the technical side. She was done all in Illustrator, flat shapes, and brought into Photoshop and worked into the background. The usual recipe for me these days.
