Description Style borrowed from Shepard Fairey's (OBEY) Obama "Change" poster. Seeing as everyone is ignoring the fact that Obama is running against McCain and not Palin, I figured I'd keep in line with the masses and dismiss him as well.

Oh, man. I hate Palin so much. Not just her as a person, but the fact that some women will vote for McCain only because he picked Palin as a running mate. Just because she's got XX chromosomes does not mean she's the candidate for you. She's not even the candidate. That old guy is. Yeah, the angry one with the white hair.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Joey-Zero In reply to Break-the-Sky [2008-09-10 14:25:44 +0000 UTC]

Not only that, but she's a horrible representation for women. She wants to overturn roe v. wade, which is a major clue that she doesn't believe in womens' right to choose. How the fuck is that good for the women of our country? They should get a goddamn clue before they throw their vote away based on who has fallopian tubes and who doesn't, you know?

I absolutely love how she keeps claiming that 'thanks but no thanks' bullshit. She supported that plan before it gained national ridicule, then she pulled away from it. But the federal funding that was sent in for it was never returned. It was 'distributed' to other state programs. So her claim is nullified. People need to wake the fuck up and pay attention, for real.

this is something that me and my family were thinking when Palin got the VP. its total BS that the republicans are criticizing Obama when Palin has the exact same flaws, some of which are even worse. But hopefully, her "Rock Star" status should go down, considering that most things that get this popular this fast loose it just as easily.

Nice photoshop! But, (My political two cents, fast forward if you don't care, XD) isn't it a little odd how Hillary and Palin draw more fire than Barack or McCain? Barack was "misguided," but Hillary was a bitch, and McCain was "crazy," but his running mate is "Racist/Evil/Lying/Cheating/Pandering/Unexperienced?" I swear, CBS has spent more effort pounding Palin, and Fox News Hillary than ANY two candidates ever... (Except for Faux News' Barack Muslim-bashing stuff, that was just sad... thankfully I never watch them unless I can't find the remote)

I can really give two shits what the media has to say, sexist or not. You're always going to run into biased statements no matter where you look.

As I said before, she's too conservative to be using the word 'change' and 'reform' in my opinion. One of the only thing she wants to 'reform' is roe vs. wade.

There's the reverse of this as well, where everyone's rushing to her side to defend her being a working mother.

Not to mention, I've known way too many hockey moms and how fucking insane they usually are.

She fell into the same rhetoric that the rest of the tired GOP falls into all the time. The whole convention was a cutdown session.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DeusTyrannicus In reply to Joey-Zero [2008-09-09 21:34:12 +0000 UTC]

Politically, I disagree with you, but on hockey moms... I'm gonna have to agree entirely. They're fucking nutjobs.. but personally, and I know, what with debates on the internet(apologies, I usually don't get involved in politics), I can't see the realistic difference between a Conservative Nutjob and a Liberal Nutjob. I know the "differences" people always quote about change, but Barack Obama has no quells with a war in Iran, and neither does John McCain(What happened to the anti-war Democrats? I used to rally for those disappearing bastards!). Barack Obama has no experience, and John McCain is a fucking loon; which causes more damage? I can't say, honestly... my girlfriend has gone for Obama(She's a green party weirdo, I was surprised myself), and I kind of understand her decision. Looks like this is the first non-voting election for me.

Joey-Zero In reply to DeusTyrannicus [2008-09-09 21:36:49 +0000 UTC]

To be honest with you, I'm a little disappointed in the choices myself, but I think with Obama, there will be a ton of pressure for him to push on his notion of change. Everything is a mess right now, especially the economy, and statistically when a dem is in office, at least that tends to stabilize. And this is one of his major selling points for his road to office. If he doesn't deliver at least in some way, there would be a veritable shit storm for him.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DeusTyrannicus In reply to Joey-Zero [2008-09-09 21:59:12 +0000 UTC]

Sad thing is, that's what I told myself when I voted for Bill Clinton, and when I voted for George W... I've been across all party lines in my life to find some sort of sense in politics, but this election I seem to be wavering toward the apathetic and independent groups. If there's any two things I can always rely on, it's indecency in politicians, and inattention in people.

When I voted for Clinton, I was disappointed with a man who was so consumed with himself, he forgot about the country he lead; good choices in office or not, most of his economic success can be attributed to congress(the most do-nothing, clusterfuck of an organization in the world; if they top you, you're doing something wrong). When I voted for Bush, I found a man so incompetent in world politics that he started by rallying America together, and ended by tearing it apart- forget economically, these wars have taken a fairly big toll from everyone. My brother died in Iraq, 2005, and I haven't seen a damn bit of change, or a reason for any of it.

I've got a cousin who just enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and I've got two candidates, neither of which will grow the balls enough to tell me they will waste no more human life overseas to stop dictators we don't care about, or replace regimes we know nothing of. Now, I can't look either of these folks in the eyes and see a good, reasonable, or even decent man behind the political mask. It might be my opinion, and it might be crazy, but I'd vote for the first person to fully assure me that we would lose no more brave men and women for cowardly politicians.

Change is just more of the same to me, and McCain is overtly the exact same man I helped put into office. Elections ought to make more sense, and they shouldn't leave me blaming myself a little every day I see another dead Soldier overseas. If Obama can't promise me an end to insanity, I don't see why he deserves my vote any more than the nutjobs we see on the other side of the political game.

Joey-Zero In reply to DeusTyrannicus [2008-09-09 22:08:23 +0000 UTC]

Excellent comment. I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I've had friends over there who fortunately made it back. We still have had no clear explanation as to why this has happened and for so long. With McCain, he'll "stay the course" which literally makes my stomach churn. Like I said, I think Obama will have to stick to at least a percentage of his overall plan, which is much more promising than the alternative.

I loved McCain a few years back. He seemed to be a man of righteousness who didn't concern himself with bipartisan bullshit. The last couple of years have been really disheartening.

DeusTyrannicus In reply to Joey-Zero [2008-09-09 22:12:04 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, and amen to disheartening bullshit. I'll put down ten bucks over the internet, says another war's inevitable, and we're gonna lose more kids over there because of some misguided view on how the world works. It's not that I hate either of these guys, but as far as I'm concerned, I can't vote for either one and sleep well November 4th.

I love the exhibition of maturity here.
Honestly, how is she deranged? Just because she's a woman who knows what she's talking about, and called out Obama?

I mean, think about it. We're hearing all this stuff about Palin...but why aren't we hearing anything about Bidan? Hm? Maybe it's because Obama knew he made a big mistake by picking him as his running mate. It's rather irresponsible to call someone who actually knows what they're doing, as opposed to someone whom we aren't even hearing about.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Joey-Zero In reply to Acid-On-Diamonds [2008-09-09 21:19:42 +0000 UTC]

Called him out on what? They all spent the entire GOP convention making pretentious little quips about Obama and the dems in general, instead of focusing on what policies they wanted to reform. And they decided halfway through to start using words like 'change' and 'shakeup', when there then current stance was 'experience'. They began their attacks making referencing Obama's 'rockstar' status and his lack of experience. Then they announce Palin and change their tune, to avoid looking hypocritical.

And she's deranged (in my opinion) for her ridiculous stance on abortion. I would like her to explain to parents of young women, sometimes under the age of 14, who was raped and impregnated by a family member that under no circumstances should they be allowed to terminate. Better yet, how about she explains to the victim's child who their father is when they're older and wondering.

Her being deranged has nothing to do with being a woman whatsoever. I never once said anything about that. People are quick to defend her because of her ovarian state however. Someone who believes that women shouldn't have a choice about their own body and decisions shouldn't be championed the way she is.

Let's also try to keep in mind it's Obama/McCain (which I eluded to in my description). I'm just sick of the ridiculousness surrounding her, and the jump in the polls before anyone even really knew what she stood for.
