OK. I'm inspired. This is amazing. It's not in me to make the large pastels I used to. I'm boasting a little here by showing this:
Pastels but to see how much can be done with pastels, as you show here, I'm about to break out the pastels.
Thank you.

Interesting. Your "Cookie Crumbs" and "Yellow Tulips" on your blog sure look like oils. I only looked at three pages there so far, but I'm going back for a long look. Very fine work.

Cookie Crumbs was an oil...but Yellow Tulips is a pastel.

This makes me just looking at this, so well rendered that it looks very appetizing, almost real

That way, you have never ending source of inspiration since you will face different types of food a day It would take me too long to finish a still life and by then, the food is no longer appetizing

Sometimes it does take longer than I expected and your right it isn't very appetizing...at the end!

I just found the seconds piece of this series. And i think this one is even better than the "Sunny Side Up". I really hope that i can see more works of this series in the future.

I think the color of the butter balances out the blue plate well. I love the look of the syrup too. The knife head looks to be the same width as the handle though. Great piece.

Excellent piece! It's sort of a fusion of the Impressionist movement with the Photo-realistic period. Very well done!!
