Week 1 @ ...old school x-men..original 5. Throw out for team battles so....I did my favorite incarnations of the same 5. Might visit this again.....maybe with a wrecked mansion instead of the textured wall. I've got time on this one...Related content

Great piece joey. Nothing wrong with it at all. (buuutttt I know what you can do. This is great for season 1 joey, good for season 2 joey, alright for season 3 joey.) meaning there are somethings you are doing to hold yourself back. This image is too balanced which makes it boring to look at at first. once i see all the great character work it looks cut and pasted together (things done in pieces. To assist with this start the whole illustration at once. (with simple layouts of the characters to give a greater sense that they are all on the same environment) adding some shadows could assist with this as well. The dark background/ crackle wall takes away from your piece in my opinion because it adds a layer of darkness to your pieces, also the shadows on all the characters seem to be black which also adds a layer of darkness to it. It may seem like i am ragging on ya, but really it is a good piece. (my favorite character is the new iceman) keep up the great work.

No worries bro. I appreciate the crit. I had lots of reservations about how I approached this piece. After a certain point I was just trying to play it safe. I like pieces of it ( older Iceman ), but the composition sucks. I like the idea of playing with the shadows. Thanks for your thoughts brother.

Man I was thinking of this too but didn't know if it'd be correct (dont know how accurate these battles need to be) given that they're only against future Cyclops's team. Haven't really read the series so don't really know how it plays out.
You did a good job on it, making me wish I had gone the same way.

The themes have always been pretty loosely interpreted. I'm not sure these 5 incarnations ever appeared together, but why not?....maybe it's an X-men Forever team....like the Avengers forever....or an Exiles team....anything could happen. It's comics.....lol.Thanks!
