Subject: Darkman
Ok, so time was a serious issue this week. I knew I wanted to finish this and I knew I wanted to sleep so...rushrushrush. I could have taken more time with the likeness' of Liam and the Durant actor (Larry Drake?). I wanted the whole city silhouette on fire and the "Who is..." isn't how I wanted it. All that said I have maybe 6-7 hours in this and if I have a free minute or two before deadline I may still work on this. Gotta rush off to work and thanks for following the progress with me!

likeness of liam and the villian are spot on and and i love the blood stains on the shirt color.
darkman is bad ass here, his burns and scar tissue is very well done.
colors are good i feel the highlights could be done a bit better if you use the select tool before using the brush to highlight so it dont bleed into the dark shades.(maybe a bit more opacity or change mode to soft light but its all experimenting.
but as you said rush rush rush great effort otherwise.

Thanks man. I scored some ref material of the actual Darkman makeup prosthetic used on Liam. Tried to follow those color variations as best I could, time allowing. Actually sampled the base color from it...lol.

I remember being a kid and watching these terrific movies. They completely took me by storm. To this very when someone says "Who are you?" I answer, "Everyone....No one...." or "Where are you?" "I am everywhere....no where...." God, if a movie deserved a re-vamp, it's this one! Of course, it would either be phenomenal, or phenomenaly bad. Great job! I really like this homage! I dig everything about it!

A great movie poster. The liklinesses of the two main adversaries work well in the background (I hope my attempts equal this). A strong piece. I'm not sure if the entire city on fire would add anything.

one small thing on this one, I'd maybe make it so Durant is looking down, right now his gaze just leads you off the page.

He's looking above the other figures. The character was arrogant and had a "better than" attitude...i thought him looking above and not making eye contact with the viewer would convey this...I thought about him eyeballing Neeson, but thought this was the better choice. I could'a been wrong though.....lol.

My opinion is that if you find the time, you should punch up the letters first and if you've got the time work on the fire, but if not I'd get rid of the fire entirely. That's just me though.

awesome way to start the Darkman challenge....this will be really, really tough to beat. Great composition of all the major aspects of the movie and especially thumbs up on the Larry Drake likeness.....didn't think we'd ever see him in a weekly challenge. Looks just like him.
You know a piece is epic when you wan to go pull the movie out again.

There were a couple of details I didn't have time for...Drake's cigar cutter, the love interest...little things I had no time to put in.

oh man - the cigar cutter!! almost forgot about that!! Its been ages since I watched it...mostly I just remember his mad Darkman rages, and the part where he jammed that guy up through the manhole during rush hour.
Actually, until I saw your piece I totally forgot Neeson was darkman....my brain had switched him out for Arnold Vasloo....but I guess that was 'the return of Durant.'
Anyhow...congrats, this is a true tribute piece....and very well done to boot! joy to see.

Likenesses are great. Who piece is amazing. Composition is perfect and you did a perfect darkman. Easily in the running for best piece would be my vote.
