Description
I've been wanting to draw Lyra for a while, so here she is playing a song during the sunset.Thanks go to =RainbowDashie for his critiques while drawing this, and both *Ambassad0r and *Yanoda for their help with issues on the lighting and reflection.

First off, you did a really nice job matching the palette of the show. Lyra is also very close to show style though her proportions feel slightly off as if she's a younger version of herself (which is possible though I can't tell from the title or description). The reflection is a nice addition though I would think she should be slightly closer to the edge of the bank for that much of her to show in the water there or she should be leaning forward more.
The firelight highlights on her back are a nice touch though I would think she would also be picking up on the shadows caused by the sunset as well. Also, good use of a more subtle gradient underneath the fire. I really like that you took the time to put some variety into the colors of the logs.
The radial gradient used in the background also works well for the sunset. A third color (probably a darker purple) would add some additional complexity and I think the stars should be more visible in the darker portion and more faded the closer they are to the sun. The one thing that kind of bugs me about the background though is that the star placement could be slightly more randomized. I think it would also add to have stars of different sizes. There are a lot of interesting tutorials out there for creating realistic starscapes that could be useful even if you don't want to make it super realistic and have it retain the feel of the show.

This picture was largely an expiriment with lighting and shading. I'll be sure to put a bit more work into the colors the next time I work on a sunset - I do agree now that an additional touch of color would've made an improvement to the sky.
About the stars - I do have a bad habit of moving them around until they look evenly spread. I'll try to keep that in mind in the future
