Description Fan art for chapter ten of "The Life and Times of a Winning Pony" by Chengar Qordath. Blossomforth giving her best friend Cloud Kicker a comforting wing hug.

I'd like to give a huge thanks to both *iOVERD and =goldenCapitalist for helping me out with this picture - this is probably the most complex picture I've drawn in recent history, and it wouldn't have turned out nearly as well without their feedback and suggestions.

I like the simple shading, not to mention the overall picture itself... Certainly tells a story. Nice work~

Oh and... something about that boat portrait in the background looks really familiar... Is it a reference from the Simpsons perhaps?

Wow. O.O This is pretty magnificent! It popped out at me in my Watch box - and I was highly pleased to both recognize your style *and* witness such a grand picture!

I think you're conveying the emotion pretty well here; the entire scene contributes to the picture's purpose. Very well done I must say. Great job to ya Mr. Joey! And your assistants, too.

Thank you I'm glad you were able to feel the emotion in this picture - it's based on a fic, and the few most recent chapters have been rather emotional, so I wanted to draw a scene that capture the strength of the friendship between these two.

I've been working on tweaking my style over my past few images, and although SAI is really nice for shading, there's just something about vectors that makes me keep going back to Illustrator.
