Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe the image. And the story it tells... A heavily populated planet whose inhabitants have developed the technology to deal with pollution. The blue of the ocean indicates a biosphere filled with many lifeforms. Even then, its only the beginning.

Makes me think of what earth would look like if it had a less turbulent atmosphere (thus allowing clouds to appear evenly as clumps rather than being blown out into lines and swirls) it's an interesting thought

That's an interesting point too. The clouds would probably move slower overall. But they would probably also form into incredibly detailed, sharp-edged formations too due to lasting longer in their point of origin before being blown into more feathery formations by the wind. Much like how cumulonimbus clouds tend to appear when they form on hot, calm days
