👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoeyJazz In reply to sgraves [2011-07-21 05:17:11 +0000 UTC]

use 5120x1920 and diminish it to 75%.. ...then it's going to have 3840x1440. Centre it and here you go.

Must be the biggest lightning bolt ever down there Maybe one of the moon's is disturbing the atmosphere

The hurricane like storms are a mixed bag, some look very nice, other's not so much, no-one said they would be easy though But they still keep it more interesting, makes me think of something kinda halfway between Jupiter and Saturn

Awesome! I love the blue spot. But is it just me, or does the orange stop very suddenly in the sharp edge right below the planet on the lower right side?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoeyJazz In reply to VoidQueenElishiva [2011-07-17 21:54:35 +0000 UTC]

It's not just you, but it doesn't stop, it's caused by the difference between the planet atmosphere glow and the light, they both have same color and therefore the eye thinks there is a black line around the planet - there isn't, it's just an optical trick.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VoidQueenElishiva In reply to JoeyJazz [2011-07-17 22:03:00 +0000 UTC]

No, not AROUND the planet. what I'm seeing is the orange tint going all the way across the canvas and then stopping a in vertical line a little to the right of the bottom of the planet. Maybe it's just displaying weird or something.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoeyJazz In reply to VoidQueenElishiva [2011-07-17 22:13:41 +0000 UTC]

Sorry, I tried to higher the brightness and contrast but still couldn't see it - so, it's probably something at your side (less bits in display maybe - the image is quite dark, so at some displays it might cause these glitches).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VoidQueenElishiva In reply to JoeyJazz [2011-07-18 02:55:31 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, IDK, I downloaded it to see if it was just a site thing, and it's still there, but I guess as long as no one else can see it's not really important. Still great work, though.

JoeyJazz In reply to VoidQueenElishiva [2011-07-18 21:28:24 +0000 UTC]

Found it... ...will adjust it - btw. your monitor brightness is pretty high (that's why the most people (me included) can't see it).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VoidQueenElishiva In reply to JoeyJazz [2011-07-19 18:46:26 +0000 UTC]

Oh... I didn't know, I just kept it on whatever the settings were when I got it. I kind of like it that way, though, because I'm a little bit of a perfectionist and I like to be able to see minor details like that in my own work.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoeyJazz In reply to VoidQueenElishiva [2011-07-19 18:49:16 +0000 UTC]

no problem with that ... I got it set so I can see how the prints will look like.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VoidQueenElishiva In reply to JoeyJazz [2011-07-19 18:50:47 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, what do you set it to for that? Mine always come out too dark.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoeyJazz In reply to VoidQueenElishiva [2011-07-19 18:59:35 +0000 UTC]

that's because your brightness is too high -> can you see the connection here? Here are some pages, that should help you adjust your monitor settings... [link]
