This is really awesome. That yellow is so striking! I love your brother's face (what a bizarre statement, lol). The blue/brown/yellow/cream combo is just inspiring.

wow, thanks!
Every now and then I realize I need to do more traditional painting, as that's really the better part of what may be considered 'good' of my work. . . . maybe that means I miss it, but I'm still so infatuated with PS, and I haven't even begun to use Painter X

I so know what you mean! I enjoy the hands-on, getting dirty stuff of traditional...
and I think all your stuff is "good"! Digital painting is addictive! and there's no brushes to clean afterwards

Richly toned and dynamically articulated; a virtuoso balance of complementary colors and kinetic shapes; extraordinary!

Great use of color, especially in your brother's "lion" face.

The thumbnail does a pretty poor job with this piece. It's wonderful, Cathy! Her face is so beautiful and his reminds for some reason of carnival masks. Which I think it's very fitting for the sun. And again I love the colours and the subtle texture on the painting. And the simplicity of the background makes them to stand out. Wonderful!

This is fabulous! As always I love your use of colour and brushstrokes, the faces are especially lovely ^^
Heh, I can also relate to the subject. If the zodiac is any indication, my younger brother is the extroverted, over confident, flaming Leo to my weirder, brooding moon-crab Cancer :3
