Believe or not, the dialogue in this comic was actually ad-libbed...Sort of.You see it all started when BaldDumboRat and Keikoandgilly (voices of Derpy and Doctor Whooves in Doctor Whooves and Assistant) where doing a livestream, somebody asked if Keikoandgilly liked pickles and then both of them started saying the dialogue in the comic above in character. Well some of the dialogue might have been diferent in the livestream version because I did this by memory, but it's still pretty close.
I would love to see BaldDumboRat and Keikoandgilly do another episode that's just nothing but ad-libing, kind of like the pilot episode of Doctor Whooves and Assistant.

Most creatures on Equestria are sentient. Therefore the Doctor saying he eats chickens, to Derpy means he eats thinking/talking creatures. And she acts accordingly. Think of it if I came up to you and said, I eat people.
