Commissioned by Wes13 , who had this idea that Spike isn't actually played by a kid dragon but rather a full grown woman dragon who deflates to appear small when preforming scenes. I will admit of all the “behind-the-scenes“ fanart this one is probably one of the more unique ones. As one of the commenters pointed out it does kind of remind me of the opening of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Makes me wonder if this comic takes place in the “real world“. So I guess this would make Barbara a cross between Jessica Rabbit and Baby Herman. It makes me wonder if this could almost to work as an allegory for voice acting roles in animation, since almost all boy cartoon characters are voiced by women. Just swap out Barbara/Spike for Tara Strong and Grey Griffin. The art definitely has a cartoony style with some squash and stretch that you would find in a lot of the cartoons of the 30s and 40s. Which would make it fit in with the Who Framed Roger Rabbit comparison. An overall fun what if comic that provides a interesting spin on the making of My Little Pony.

I believe that this comic is pure comedy and true insight of what could happen if the MLP cast were mere actors, acting out the show.
By transforming Spike into Greenscale, this comic shows the struggles of playing as a kid while being tired of playing that role. There ARE some actors out there who play the role of a child.
I personally think Greenscale is a perfect character and that the artist should make more comics of her in future!!! Greenscale is beautiful and kind, as well as tired and rash when it comes to her acting career. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her in future!
With that said and done, I wish to thank the artist for creating this AMAZING alt.version of Spike and showing her to us! Thank you!

She does it by deflating back into Spike by either blowing out the air that inflated her or by squeezing herself back down into Spike. ;3

I initially read that line as 'fans to do and things to see'.
I think I've been online for too long.
Really though I'd love to see even a short story about Barb's travails on and off the set. Like her unexpectedly running into some young fans of the show along with an older brother and leaving everyone very confused.

Basically “Spike” is a role that Barbara Greenscale plays on the MLP show. She’s the toon actress that plays as Spike.
Sort of like “Who Framed Rodger Rabbit.”.
