Actually the real reason he always wanted to be ginger was because back on Gallopfrey (Or Galiifrey whatever) male timelords could not control what they looked like when they regenerated, whereas female ones could, and if you were a male hero you were given ginger hair. It is a national timelord hero thing. Which is the reason why he wants to be ginger!

I think the reason why the Doctor wants to be ginger so bad, is because all the past Doctors were ether had black hair, white hair, blond hair, and brown hair.

I (after reading this) just watched the video interpretation of the cupcake story,... and I've got to agree with the Doctor,...I'm still recovering from 5 minutes ago. As for the 10th, Why would the Doctor not know who he was one regeneration ago? The reason ginger is "perfection", is because gingersnaps are good, and the ginger color is closely similar to gingerbread cookies (even if they contain cinnamon).
