Art test i did for wizard of the coast, painted with oil and love.I hope they will enjoy it.

i don't know exaclty what do you mean by that so i will try to give you a global answer.
This character had to fit with the art direction and at the same time he should stand out because of his social statut (he is a spiritual leader).
I tried to bring animist references on this character, for this i inspire myself from native american shamans, a little bit of voodoo and some prehistoric stuff.
he has to be menacing so i gave him an active pose.
Last i put some different materials on him so the character will not be boring to look at (fur, leather, metal and bones).

I wish i could do more and i will try to apply this technique to my future works as much as i can (i am still a noob with oil so this is really time consuming compared to digital).
