SH2 has an incredible soundtrack from all points of view (sounds, music, industrial ambiant themes, etc), so it's my favorite. SH3 is great too, but not as good. SH4's soundtrack is a bit like the game: incredibly cool stuff mixed with lame stuff; but I like it anyway. The others didn't really left their mark in my ears, except some themes from Shattered Memories (especially Ice and Different persons).
My absolute favorite theme is Wounded warsong, from SH4. It's hypnotic.

I also like the SH3 music. My favorite theme is probably Laura's Theme (Reprise). LOL, I actually have it set as my ringtone right now!

Don't know why I like that music either. That "what are you listening to?!"-thing happens ALL THE TIME. A few days ago I was playing Age of Empires with my brother while listening to music from my pc at random. Then came "Eddie Gone Nuts" and I said something like "sorry I'll skip that, it's SH music" and he was like "ok, that sounds like people assembling a building outside".

We were watching 2012 at my house and the SH1 siren went off for warning and I yelled "SEE SILENT HILL IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD!"
Later everything was covered in ash and I was proven correct~!

IT WAS IN THE SCENE WHERE THE PRESIDENT DIES!
I thought it was...Okay. The graphics were freaking amazing and at times it had my heart pumping but the amounts of characters the felt the need to kill off was just messed up. It was weird how they made us watch the Russian chicks violent and scary drowning death and then she's never talked about again after she saved the little boys and the dog's life D:... Kinda messed up.

For example, when they escape the city, why is the car always a little faster than the earthquake? Does the earthquake wait for them to escape before breaking everything? Come on.
