I fall into several of those categories... Especially the second one. The other night i was listening to the radio trying to fall asleep, and suddenly it went silent and then filled up with static. I laid in bed for several minutes listening for the door to the apartment to open... that and I checked the closet for anything out of the ordinary.
After a bit I wised up and changed the station.

No one understands us and our creepy shuddery instrumentals filled with lots of industrial banging sounds and very little actual instrumentation. 8(
