Description Need a bit of help with this one. Added two UVW map modifiers to the bottle and matching composit material. Unfortunatly, the material also shows on the other side of the bottle. All mirror, tile and "show on back" is uncheched for the bitmap. Please tell me what might be wrong

You always seem to get this kind of errors eh? ^_^
Well let`s see...what`s with your reflection parameters? Whats the reflecting material, does it have falloff? If yes, you should deactivte that.
Is the UVW map setting right? Shoult be "plane" if you don`t want the BMP appear on the backside. Play around with the gizmo, maybe that will help. Oh and maybe one thing is left : Has you material the "2 sided" trigger activated? If so, then deactivate it...if not...well try to activate it.
Can`t seem to see more in the first place to help you without seeing the model file itself

Thanks for the quick reply.

Setting the falloff on the bitmaps to "out" and "substractive" helped, but only so much. The once transparent alpha maps now show on the rendering, and the colour turned from green into all black. How could I send you the 3ds max file ?

Depending on how big it is, you can send it to me via E-Mail. Shouldn`t be any problem but remember to put the textures in Otherwise if you have some webspace, just upload it there and send me a note. As soon as I can, I`ll take a look on it and give you a reply (you`ll find my mail address on my userpage, don`t wanna post it here ^_^ )
