this is me sitting on (what i refer to as my bench...because i used to sit there a lot) and looking over the river mersey to liverpool, it looks quite stunning at night...with the lights and all.i'm not 100% happy with this piece, don't like the big block of black for the water, my tutor thinks i should change it in some way (i must say i agree) but have no idea how...any help???

hmm maybe take out the black fill, and just have thicker lines for the flow? Big wormy smooth round lines <_< I've not studied art so meh :s

I have a suggestion. Put a green or blue square over the buildings, mayhaps. And maybe a yellow one son the moon. Maybe more colorful squares would fix it. I like how the words are attached to your shoelaces, very stylish.

cool cool, may give it a go if i get the chance, i've redone it as a simpler version, so that there's no black for the water...it's just all line drawing, i'll update soon.

Neat. Could be that the black just stands out too much. I'd recommend lighter colors.

i love the bench..and that you refer to it as 'my bench' 
and the whole water thing...maybe you could try adding some reflections??? I have no real idea...but that may emphesise the peaceful solitarity of the bench...???

i'll probably just get a blank piece of paper the shape and size of the black section and redo it, then place it over and scan it in....therefore not affecting the original image!!!! OMG!

skyline, liverpool skyline. you'll see that when you come back with me...and notice that it's not as close as it looks in this picture...it's still pretty but nowhere near as close.
