The cool blue of the photo is quite comforting. While it has the chilly appearance of a winter day, the fern appears to be vibrant with life, as though it's in suspended animation: frozen yet so alive and magnificent.
It's not every day you see a plant that's blue, or find a way to have one appear so. A truly fascinating concept.
The light is gentle and falls pleasantly atop the leaves. The piece isn't fully framed but we get just enough to experience a great taste of the whole plant, perhaps the best part. The texture is soft yet clear and the sense of direction very clever. The way the leaves rise and fall from side to side, becoming smaller and larger gives a neat sort of flow to the photograph. This piece works very well as a monochromatic; most of the time we only see that in paintings.
Breathtaking, like a crisp, frosty morning. I'm still not sure whether it IS winter or not, but the sensation is quite believable.

Thank you so much for this nice critique!
About the framing, i really don't got it in full, because i was using close up filters and the DOF was very shallow.
I'll try next the plant fully next time. I have another version of this photo, if you want see:

Hope you enjoy and have a nice night!!

I wasn't criticizing the fern for not being fully framed. I thought it looked great the way it is. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Happy creating!

The first thing that catches my eye when I see this photo is the colors. Wow! It's so crisp and refreshing. The small tinges of bright cream colored light at the tips of the leaves really go a long way. I enjoy The way the leaves get clearer as you look up at the picture, I think that was clever. Also, the natural symmetry and balance of the leaves is photographed perfectly. I rate this photo 4/5 primarily for the reasons above. However I have seen many of these types of photographs before. I think if you combined your cleverness and skill and applied it to something more out there, you would be one of the most incredible artists here on dA. Other than that, great job and I hope to see more from you in the future.

I love this photo, but I can't help but find it funny how no one sees it's with a blue filter and turned up side down XD

The way the light highlights the serated edges of the leaves is beautiful.
