Betsy takes a sip from her can and would look at Caihong with a smile, letting her wispy tail float about "Sometimes it's the colors, the sights."

"I see. Some would say it's the sound...but I always felt it a mere byproduct of such explosive release. For me, the heat and color is what I appreciate."

"Mostly it's...It's the way it brings people together that has me interested in the fireworks. Friends, Family, even strangers." she crooks a small smile as she then takes another sip "Hard to do that now without causing a scene."

"Perhaps the scene is the point." Caihong idly grasps for a teacup that is not there and subtly curses his lack of foresight. "Well, besides the modern potential for spats by differing opinions... But consider the lowly campfire. Not as big, not as high up, and certainly not as loud or attention-grabbing; but bright, hot, and a perfect gathering point."

she slowly leans back as she continues to watch the works picturing what he was talking about. What he said about the simpler escape to a small campfire giving a small sight before taking another sip looking at him and his protege "Just the lake, camping out while roasting marshmallows..." "And that discounts us, who can all toast one to perfection in our hand with a thought and a little effort," chimes Amber, while locating another firecracker. "But in that context, it amounts to a party trick."
Caihong lets out a chuckle. "All such supernatural skills do, with enough fine control! It makes me yearn for simpler times when such things were truly special, with the wisdom and knowledge we have now."

"Same here. That and probably wear my old glory bikini again. It's been ages since I've had that on me." she chuckles a bit feeling her tail swirl around her chair leg "Most people aren't that stupid anyway. some still think treating people with kindness is the real American way"

"I think treating people with kindness is The Way. And I believe more people believe that, and act upon it, than believe and act upon the opposite. Disregarding, of course, the apathetic masses who merely wish to get on with their day, or the hermits."
