Hi!
here is the colored version of this pic [link]
I did this work for the planewalker site [link]
There are a number of character of the Planescape setting that need to be designed and I decided to try with "Unity-of-Rings", the movanic deva. I hope they will like it.
Devas are proxies of the good deities. They seems stunningly handsome male humans (female devas do exists bur their number is lesser) with large, feathery wings fanning gracefully from their shoulders.
Three kinds of devas exist: astral, movanic and monadic.
Movanic devas have milky white skin and silvery hair and eyes.
The movanic deva known as Unity of Rings is the physical embodiment of the third of the three main rules that govern the multiverse: a berk who follows a ring's logic soon ends up where it started. Beginning and ending flow together seamlessly, as sure as the consequence follows an action.
Off course
things come back to haunt you.
They just walk the
ring of Sigil and end up
back where they started

I like the wings because even though they're anatomically incorrect, you don't care. You made them entirely for aesthetics, which it what a real angels wings mostly are. Angels don't usually have tangible bodies, why should their wings have to be accurate, if that isn't what you imagined. I only draw them like a real bird's because it is my style. This piece has a comic book/art neuveaux look to it. Very nice job.

Sure. A pair of wings on a human body are quite useless, anyway
I mean, we are to heavy. Anatomically speaking, yes, I made them like this to remind the idea of the circle and yes, I agee with you about the spiritual body.
Thanks for the comment!

Sure, I really like this piece and am thrilled that you responded. I also read that wing are the visualization of an angel spirit.
