I prefer this version to the colored one. It's more detailed, and so nicely shaded the tentacles seem three-dimensional and fleshy . I like the face of the girl, it seems as if she still believed she might get an upper hand in this scuffle. And she is nicely wrapped in the tentacle, cunningly covering nudity in the picture, but at the same time hinting possible sexual interpretation of the encounter
By the way is the thing over his head a lure?

wow! nice, you hit all main elements of the piece right on the button. definitely a sexual overtone to the piece. because the theme of the book this was published in was monsters and dames, i've always liked the idea of being attracted to something dangerous. much like dracula and his charm. that is a lure. again, like in nature being attracted to bright pretty things... great feedback doberlady!
